This delicious, festive drink comes to us from customer Jon Siddall, who got it from his "Mum."
"
"
My mother is from Scotland by way of Ireland, although she has lived
near Toronto for some time. I have always referred to her as "Mum"
rather than Mom. So, this drink with the name it bears, is dedicated
to me dear Mum. It toasts her taste for good marmalade and the other
fine ingredients of this drink, not to speak of a good pun.I've made this drink with other
marmalades, but Penryn Eureka Lemon Marmalade wins the prize! Hope
you enjoy my drink!
Cheers, Jon"
1 oz Cointreau
1/2 oz Bombay Gin
1 teaspoon Penryn Eureka lemon marmalade
4 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
juice of a small wedge of lemon (preferably meyer lemon)
a small frisk of fresh key lime juice
ice
Pour the gin and Cointreau into a highball glass and stir in the
marmalade. Gently add ice. Add the fruit juices, stir well and serve.
