TURKEY STUFFING

A delicious, no fat alternative to bread stuffing, this easy recipe also has the advantage of helping to keep your turkey moist and infusing it with wonderful sweet flavors.
If it doesn’t all fit inside the cavity, spread the rest of the fruit in the roasting pan,
and serve it with the cooking juices. It makes a fabulous side dish.
Also works great with duck and goose.

 

For a 15 lb. turkey

3medium apples), cored and cut in 1” dice

3 medium Shinko Asian pears, cored and cut in 1” dice

1 mandarin orange, sliced

2 medium size onions, peeled and sliced

2 sprigs fresh sage, minced

½ tsp salt

½ tsp ground black pepper

 

Toss all the ingredients together, stuff the turkey with the mix, and roast.
Serve alongside the roasted bird.
