FIG LEAVES
Green, large lobed leaves have a rich coconut smell. Blanch them and use them to wrap chicken, pork, or fish to impart coconut flavor. Season: August to mid October. Size: Gallon size ziplock bag contains 10 leaves. Suggested uses: Wrap pork roasts, chicken breasts, fish, decorative on cheese platters. Shelf life: 10 days in your cooler for raw use, up to 2 weeks if you are cooking them. May be blanched then frozen. |
