KIWIFRUIT
We grow two varieties, Hayward - named after horticulturalist Hayward Wright, and Bruno, a darker-skinned cylindrical fruit. Both have a juicy, tender texture and delicious tart-sweet flavor reminiscent of gooseberries. Actually, Chinese gooseberries was the first common name given to this fruit. Very rich in Vitamin C. Season: November - December Size: 32 to 40 per metric layer Suggested uses:cut in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon for a delicious healthy snack. Add to fruit salads, pair with sliced strawberries for a gorgeous topping to a tart. Shelf life: Keeps for 2 to 3 weeks in the refrigerator. |
