SHINKO ASIAN PEARS

Round fruit. Attractive smooth russet/orange skin. Crisp, juicy variety, sweet with pleasant hint of citrus and spice. Late season pear, holds wonderfully to braising. We stuffed our Thanksgiving turkey with these, and it was fabulous.

Season: October, November

Size: 16 to 32 per metric layer.

Suggested uses: Fresh eating, salads, cheese platters, grilled, roasted, braised.

Shelf life: Will keep at 32 degrees for 1 month.
